BRIEF OVERVIEW: I’m the plant mama of Sage! I have been in the beauty industry since 2007. I believe there is always room for growth, which is why I stay on top of the latest hair trends. I thrive on being creative and specialize in all things color, customized blondes, short and textured haircuts. I get a lot of my inspiration from nature and can find something beautiful in whatever season we may be in. When I’m not behind the chair, I’m soaking in time with my children or exploring somewhere new in Kansas City.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR APPROACH AS A STYLIST?: I’d describe my approach as a stylist as very welcoming. I really enjoy meeting new people and forming new connections. I like to offer a thorough consultation to have a complete understanding of your hair history as well as where you want to go in the future with your hair. 

 

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT THE SALON?: My favorite thing about the salon is the atmosphere and the energy that our team brings to the space. 

 

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY YOUR PERSONAL STYLE IS LIKE? I bring a down to earth style and vibe to everything I do. 

 

WHAT DO YOU SEE FOR YOURSELF IN THE FUTURE? Continuing to further my career, focusing on my kids and enjoying life to the fullest.

 

WHAT ARE YOU MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT?: Making people feel their most authentic and beautiful selves. I have a green thumb and love having plants throughout the salon and my home. 

 

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT HAIR? I have the ability to express myself creatively and artistically while cultivating relationships with clients in my chair. 

 

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT SAGE COLOUR STUDIO? The location of the salon could not be more perfect. 

 

WHY DO YOU LOVE BEING A STYLIST? I love being a stylist because I get to express myself through art and creativity while cultivating relationships and making the people in my chair feel beautiful.

 

WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE IN MY CHAIR? I want my clients to feel welcome to come as they are. I love to laugh and keep it light and build friendships with my clients. 

 

DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE TRAVEL DESTINATION?: I love travel and jump at any chance I get to explore somewhere new. 

 

IS THERE SOMEWHERE YOU’D LIKE TO TRAVEL TO? IF YES, WHAT APPEALS TO YOU ABOUT IT? Europe - theres so much history and culture to explore. 

 

DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE TYPE OF MUSIC? HOW ABOUT A FAVORITE BAND? Alternative but I love all music. My favorites range from Ray Charles to Bornes to Bob Marley.
