Our Story

Sage Colour Studio was opened in January of 2020 and in 2025 reopened under new ownership, with a dream of creating a space that served clients and stylists equally. A place where clients can feel comfortable getting their hair done no matter what stage of life they are in or their demographic. We want everyone to feel welcomed and seen.

Our unique addition of a client lounge creates a space for clients to relax before and during their service, have a space to eat and work, or just drink coffee and chill.  Having worked in many different salon environments over our decades-long careers, we wanted to create a space that also catered to the stylists. To make working as effortless and efficient as possible. We have created a space that combines the energy of the individual business owner with the cooperative community of a traditional salon environment.

We love our location in the historic Downtown Overland Park area and have loved being a part of this amazing community, where quirk meets class, old meets new and salon dreams do get to come true.
